TPO Single Ply Membrane Roofing extend Metairie businesses roof by 20 years

If you own a commercial building, chances are every 20 years or so it’s going to need a new roof!

Such was the case with one of Metairie’s most identifiable businesses, the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors (NOMAR) building just off the interstate.

The roof had reached the end of its useful life. It was damaged and leaky. Plus, the tenants struggled to keep the building cool.

Our commercial roofing team started by raising the AC units so everyone could remain hard at work while the re-roofing took place.  Then, we removed the damaged surface and fixed the leaky subroof.

For the top coating, we installed an single ply TPO membrane roof. A gorgeous white (at least from the sky)!

One of the main benefits of single ply roofing, especially in white, is its reflective qualities. It reflects the heat away and helps cool the building while saving on energy consumptions.

Additionally, the client wanted to ensure that the leaking damage didn’t happen again, so we installed tapered insulation to prevent standing water from accumulating and sloped the roof ever so slightly to a custom gutter system.

Their new roof should give them at least 20 years of waterproof, energy efficient service. And it looks great in the meantime!
